How to Inspire Yourself to Overcome Challenges!

Have you been thinking about going for a promotion, getting a higher degree or trying to reach a personal best in some other area of your life?  If you feel your goal might be too much of a challenge, think about how these three Olympians overcame their possibly perceived “shortcomings”.

Three Inspiring Olympic Role Models:

  1. This young man ran well, with his team mates, but has no natural legs.
  2. This young male swimmer had trouble learning in school, but is now the most decorated Olympian in history.
  3. This young lady gymnast struggled with what she called “nerves”, especially on the beam, until she worked on her self confidence and became the first African American female all around gold medalist.

While Olympians may seem larger than life, please recognize they often have to overcome obstacles to accomplish more than others, and maybe even themselves, thought they could at one time achieve.  Utilizing their coach’s and often positive family members’ support, changing their mindset/beliefs as well as practicing the skills they wanted to excel at, each of these at one time “regular” people became extraordinary.

YOU, TOO, CAN ACHIEVE MORE THAN YOU MAY THINK YOU CAN IF YOU BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT AND GET HELP IF NEEDED TO OVERCOME WHATEVER IS HOLDING YOU BACK!
